Under the Statutes certain changes can be made to your property - but permission must be sought from the community to make any aesthetic changes.  The planning committee will meet as need demands and consider the individual request and the implication (if any) on your neighbour.



If you wish to put some storage in your garage space -

  • Only storage that is temporary or moveable is allowed. So ideally resin/plastic sheds/cupboards.  These are easily bought in Leroy Merlin etc.
  • The storage unit must be within your marked space. Your space must be no less that 4.50m x 2.50m once the storage unit is in position.  Smaller parking spaces may therefore not have the room for a storage unit.
  • The storage unit must be at the back of your space - against the wall. So it will not interfere with your neighbours' ability to park their car.
  • It must not be fixed to the wall.
  • Inflammable goods may not be stored in the garage.
  • Storage units and their contents are at the owners' risk. The community holds no responsibility for them.

    • Permanent, fixed storage requires permission from the planning department at the town hall and is against our statutes.
