Forum Rules

Registering for Access to the Forum and the Secure Area of the Website.


The purpose of the forum is to enable owners to exchange views within a secure environment, where issues can be discussed without compromising the security, finances or the reputation of our community. The secure area of the website contains important community information, such as the minutes of the Managing Board meetings.

When registering to use the forum and to access the secure area of the website, you must use your full name, e.g. James smith and not a shortened name such as J-smithy, or a nickname. Registrations that do not use a full name will not be accepted by the forum administrators.

Forum Rules.

By registering to use the forum you agree to abide by the rules and policies detailed below:

1. Although the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for them to review all messages.
2. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the President of the Community nor any Committee member will be held responsible for the content of any message, unless it is posted by them.
3. Posts that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, abusive, or in violation of any laws, will not be tolerated.
4. Posts containing personal attacks and/or hearsay are not acceptable in any circumstances. This also includes any form of personal attack, threat or abuse, communicated in any way to owners, as a result of things posted on this, or any other forum.
5. Any information stored within the forum, or on the hrgr.es website, is the intellectual property of Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort Community of Owners, and it is strictly forbidden to reproduce it in any way, other than for the use of HR owners.
6. An owner, or anybody with a financial stake in the business, cannot promote that business on the forum. The Classified section should be used for that purpose.
7. Any owner in breach of these rules may receive one formal warning about their future conduct on the forum. If, after a formal warning, any member continues to ignore the forum rules, they may have their access to the secure area of the website removed for a period of 3 months or longer, subject to the approval of the community board. In extreme cases, particularly where threats are made, a poster could be banned from the forum permanently.

Moderation of the forum.

1. The community do not wish to stifle free speech in any way and all owners are entitled to post their opinions on community issues. If you wish to criticise something, please be constructive in your criticism without stepping over the line into libel, threats, abuse or emotive/aggressive language. If members notice an issue which contravenes the forum rules, they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team, by using the report button on the bottom right of each post.
2. The moderators check the forum regularly and will remove or moderate any posts that do not follow the forum rules. Whenever possible, they will moderate in a way that doesn't interrupt the flow of conversation.
3. If a post has to be moderated or removed, a clear reason for the action taken will be given to the person whose post has been changed.
4. If the moderator closes a thread they will post the reason for closure on the thread. This will usually be when posts are covered in another thread or are being repeated. Where applicable they will be merged into the previous thread.
5. The moderator’s decision should be considered final but, in exceptional circumstances, an appeal can be made to the Resort President, who is the legal owner of the forum.
